The Mars 400S from Hollyland is an entry-level 1080p60 transmission video system featuring a 400′ line-of-sight transmission range. With a compact design, both transmitter and receiver support SDI and HDMI connections. The choice between the two expands your compatibility options.

External Power: The Mars 400S system is incredibly versatile and offers three distinct ways to power both the TX and RX units on set:

Sony L-Series Plate (NP-F): Integrated directly into the back of both units.

DC Barrel Input (6V – 16V): Perfect for powering via a D-Tap to DC cable from a larger V-Mount or Gold Mount battery.

USB-C (5V/2A): Can be powered continuously by a standard consumer USB power bank.

⚠️ Rigging Notes for ACs

Smart Power Failover: The Mars 400S supports multiple power sources simultaneously. If you have an NP-F battery attached and a USB-C power bank plugged in, the unit will automatically draw from the source with the higher voltage.

Voltage Warning (DC Port): The DC barrel input has a strict 16V maximum limit. Do not attempt to power this unit from a 24V/28V high-voltage cinema block battery, as it will fry the internal power board. Stick to standard 14.4V V-Mounts if using a D-Tap to DC cable.

USB-C Cable Type: If powering via a power bank, you must use a standard USB-A to USB-C cable. The unit does not always handshake properly with high-wattage USB-C to USB-C Power Delivery (PD) chargers.
