Broadcast field monitors enforce an automated low-voltage threshold (~7.2V on NP-F / ~11.5V on 14.4V systems) to prevent panel drop-outs, while the remaining variance accounts for thermal dissipation in the 800-nit LCD backlight and DC-DC regulation.
⚠️ Production Advisory: Because the Marshall V-LCD70 series requires a minimum of 7.5V DC on its external input, small or aged NP-F 570 batteries may hit the monitor’s low-voltage cutoff early under load; NP-F 770 / NP-F 980 packs or a 14.4V V-Mount D-Tap feed provide optimal voltage headroom.
