⚡ TVLogic VFM-058W 5.5″ • Electrical & Power Profile
- Operating Voltage: 6V to 18V DC (Rear NP-F Battery Bracket & Coaxial Barrel DC Input)
- Power Draw (Standard Operation): ~7.5W to 8W
- Power Draw (Maximum Peak Load): 9.0W Maximum (Official TVLogic rating at 100% 450-nit brightness with 3G-SDI/HDMI conversion and waveform scopes active)
- On-Board Battery Standard: 1x Sony NP-F / L-Series battery slot (7.4V; also supports Canon LP-E6 bracket configuration)
- External Supply Options: 12V DC barrel input (6V–18V range) via D-Tap to DC cable from a 14.4V V-Mount camera rig
⏱️ Estimated Operating Runtimes (9W Maximum Draw @ 85% Efficiency)
- 🔋 1x NP-F 570 (26Wh): ~2.5 hours (2h 27m)
- 🔋 1x NP-F 770 (47Wh): ~4.4 hours (4h 26m)
- 🔋 1x NP-F 980 (74Wh): ~7.0 hours (6h 59m)
- 🔋 V-Mount 98Wh (via D-Tap to DC): ~9.3 hours (9h 15m)
- 🔋 V-Mount 150Wh (via D-Tap to DC): ~14.2 hours (14h 10m)
📊 Engineering Note: The 85% Efficiency Standard
- Usable Energy Derating: Published calculations apply a standard 0.85 multiplier (Usable Wh = Rated Wh × 0.85). On-board monitors enforce an automated low-voltage threshold (~6.0V on NP-F) to prevent sudden screen blackouts, while the remaining variance accounts for thermal dissipation in DC-DC voltage regulation.
⚠️ Production Advisory: Because the VFM-058W DC input accepts a maximum of 18V DC, connect D-Tap cables only to standard 14.4V V-Mount batteries (16.8V peak) and never directly to unregulated 24V/26V cinema block batteries.
