Physical Movement: External focus design (Telescoping). (The front elements of these lenses extend and retract during focus pulls. Because of this, you must be extremely careful with matte box rigging).
Compatible Matte Boxes (Available to Rent)

Tilta Matte Box MB-T12: Must be rod-mounted. Do not use clamp-on adapter rings directly on the lenses. Clamping a matte box to an extending photo lens will damage the internal focusing helicoids. Mount the matte box via 15mm rods and use a flexible fabric “nun’s knickers” donut to block light leaks while allowing the lens to telescope freely.

Electronic Iris Control: Because the Zeiss ZE lenses are native Canon EF mount, they do not have physical aperture rings. The iris is controlled electronically through the camera body. You will only need one wireless motor (for focus).
