Anamorphic Features in a Compact Form
Each Mercury lens provides the oval bokeh, pleasant barrel distortion, and shallow depth of field of the Atlas Orion 2x anamorphic primes but in a housing that is about half the size and weight of most pro anamorphic primes. The more compact size reduces fatigue and enables you to get closer to the action.
ARRI PL Mount
The lens is compatible with pro-cine ARRI PL-mount cameras.
Full-Frame Coverage
Each Mercury series lens provides coverage for up to full-frame camera sensors.
Fast T2.2 Aperture
A fast T2.2 aperture enables the Mercury anamorphics to excel at low-light capture.
Cine-Style Design
The Mercury lenses feature cine-standard 0.8 MOD gearing, a 95mm front diameter, and focus marks in metric.
The standardized 95mm front diameter is compatible with many filters and matte boxes.

Cinema Filters (4×5.65″): Highly recommended. Pair these lenses with 4×5.65″ Panavision-sized glass filters, such as our 7x TIFFEN 4×5.6 IR ND WW Filter Set, using the Tilta MB-T12 or ARRI LMB.

Circular Filters: Because the lenses lack front threads, standard 77mm or 82mm screw-on filters cannot be used directly on the lens.

Wireless Lens Control: Because the 36mm, 42mm, and 72mm share unified gear positions, we highly recommend renting the Nucleus-M II Wireless Lens Control System. You can swap lenses on set without having to unmount and remount your focus and iris motors.

15mm LWS Lens Support: While these are relatively lightweight for anamorphics (~1.1 kg to 1.6 kg), utilizing a 15mm lens support bracket like the SmallRig 15mm Lens Support is strongly recommended to protect the camera’s PL mount, especially when flying a matte box and wireless motors simultaneously.
⚠️ Rigging Notes for Anamorphics

Sensor Coverage: These lenses cover Full Frame sensors. When shooting with the wide 36mm T2.2 on a Full Frame camera (like the Sony Venice or FX9), avoid stacking too many filter trays on a rod-mounted matte box pushed too far forward, as it may induce mechanical vignetting at the corners. They are perfectly safe to clamp on directly.
